Out of the Box

*Peace. Peace. Peace is all you need!!!*

Hello men and women of GOD. People just scrolling through for some reading material. Isn’t life exciting when you are free from the confined thoughts of worldly things and enjoying the beauty of life? You didn’t land here just by chance. You were brought here for a reason: to get inspiration and encouragement.

You maybe wondering why there is a YouTube video above…..well that video will help you become “FEARLESS” and think outside your normal box.

What outside influences have shaped your way of thinking in life? Sometimes, socioeconomic status hinders us from stepping outside of the box and reaching our hand out to grasp onto opportunities that seem so far away, but really are attainable. Majority of the time, without even thinking, family members and issues hinders us the most to experiencing the real joys of life. We are paralyzed by childhood trauma, mother or father abandonment, or just no self worth. It’s time to stand up for yourself and make a change.

“It isn’t enough to talk about peace. One must believe in it. And it isn’t enough to believe in it. One must work at it.”

As the world is in chaos and you’re just trying to make it through the day, sit back and think about a time when all you wanted to do was ride your bike down a hill with your friends. Or just sit in a hammock and look up at the big blue sky and watch the birds fly by. Now is the time for you to expand your horizons again and pull yourself out of that dingy box you so happen to love. That box is doing nothing but hindering you from seeing what the world can offer. Yes, it’s going to be scary at first, but think about all that peace and tranquility you’re about to enjoy when that sunlight hits your face and the darkness is no longer there. Life can be such a beautiful thing to see and you don’t have to do it alone. Not only are you surrounded by people that want to support you, but you are also surrounded by GOD. (Yes, I did just say that. Did you not think I wasn’t going to give all the glory to Him? I mean I did say this is about peace lol.)

Let’s get back on track here, shall we?

As you read from my last post, I joined the military. Signed on them dotted lines and now I’m an Airman for the next six years. Shall I go for 20 years? We shall see lol. These past few months, three months in Basic Military Training and two months in Technical School, have been the hardest and most interesting months I can say I have experienced. They were not playing when they said that you will be thrown out of your box, kicked over, rolled, handled with tough love, and made into a better version of yourself. Well, in my case, I think I just evolved a little bit and added on to who I was already, but that’s for another time. That tiny box I was in couldn’t handle all the possible things I needed to grasp on and blossom over time. I, and like the many other trainees, had to get out of our box and let our eyes adjust to a new bright light that would forever be instilled into us. There were many countless days that the thought of being back in that small dingy box sounded so good, but if you want to evolve, boxes just don’t work. Maybe a glass house would suffice. At least you have more room to move around. Stretch your legs out and eat popcorn while people walk by staring.

At this point in life, aren’t you tired of not pursuing something you have always wanted to try but was just too scared because of the environment you were raised in? Lack of money and resources just wouldn’t give you the advantage that you needed to catch up with others? That tiny box you love so much just keeps you warm and safe from rejection and disappointment from family and friends? It’s time for you to push back them box flaps, slowly step out of that box, open your eyes to the sunlight, and breathe deeply in that fresh air. Nothing is going to make you more happier than that first step on your own because you did it. You did it for yourself, not anyone else. Peace comes from within (and from GOD) and you need to finally realize that once you open yourself up, you’re free. Free to be who you are. Free to make your own choices and grasp opportunities without being hindered by the darkness you felt.

“The trick is not to think outside the box, but to realize there is no box.”
